If you begin to sell products that you don't have, you will not only fail as a business, but you might get into trouble as well.  Therefore, you need at least an agreement with a supplier of this merchandise that they will give you all of the products that you need to make a sale.

You may want to invest in different tools to help you run your Internet business, such as an auto-responder to any emails you may get.

Hours of Operation:

Internet business can run for 24 hours a day, letting you set your own hours.  You will want to be sure that you spend enough time updating your business though, making sure that all the pages are up to date and all of your customers are satisfied with their orders and any question that they might have be answered quickly.
