A House Cleaning Business can be the answer to your next job!

Background Information about the House cleaning business

Houses will naturally collect dirt and other types of grime.  You have seen how often your own house needs to be cleaned.  You will also know how many people don't like cleaning their own houses.  If you offer to clean people's houses for them for a set rate per hour, you can make quite a profit with all of the people who will be hiring you to clean their house!

Pros of the House cleaning business

The work is easy and you can make good money doing what people don't like to do themselves.  You can build up quite a client base and have a regular schedule which will help you make a great profit.

Cons of Running a House cleaning business

It can be tedious work as well as being a dirty job to complete.  People can also get funny about letting strangers into their houses and you may have to deal with people being paranoid sometimes.  You may also find situations which require a lot of work and will not be enjoyable.

Licensing or Special Requirements for a House cleaning business:

You do not need any special requirements to start a house cleaning business, all that you need is for people to trust you enough to let you into their houses when they are not home.

Getting Started in the House cleaning business:

If you decide to start a house cleaning business, you will need to put together the basic supplies which will help you clean through any situation.  You will also then need to let the public know that you are available to clean houses and other buildings and may want to start word-of-mouth based on cleaning a few places for free.

This will help people know that you do a good job in a quick time frame.  After this, you will want to make sure that you book enough time to clean each of the houses which will approach you.

Minimum Start up Cost:

You may drop a few hundred dollars on collecting all of the supplies that you may need when first beginning your house cleaning business.  Other than this, you will only need to spend money on the fuel it takes you to get to these different houses and buildings.

Minimum Start up Equipment:

A number of different cleaning supplies will be needed, from cleaners and polishers, to sponges, mops, and gloves.  Waxing equipment may be needed as well as heavy duty scrubbing equipment.  Air fresheners and deodorizers can be important tools.

Optional or Advanced Equipment

You may also want to invest in things like uniforms so that people know what you are a part of.  This can help any workers that you may have to draw attention to your company, helping your business to grow.  Having backup supplies for everything you need can also be important because it will help you to never run out of an important product when finishing a cleaning job.

Hours of Operation:

You can vary your hours of operation based on your certain schedule.  When people call to hire your services, you can set what time works for both parties involved.  Most house cleaning services will operate during daylight hours, from around 9AM to 6PM or later.  This can vary on a case-by-case basis, depending on what your client might need.

Minimum Number of People required to Operate A House cleaning business:

One person is all you need to begin your house cleaning business, although as you begin to pick up business, you should hire more people to clean who you can trust.  Then you will be able to take all of the houses who come to you for business and not have to turn anyone away.
