What is business to you?
Is it the practice of providing products and services in exchange for money?
Is it a means of being self-employed?
Is it a fun game?
Is it a risky and exhausting venture?
Is it freedom?
Is it Control?
Is it an income?
Everyone views it business for themselves differently.
I view business as a job, which consists of using your mind. It has to do with the understanding of human behavior. Once you understand that and apply common sense, you will have a successful business.
If you don't understand people's feelings, desires and thoughts, how can you interact with them? The same applies to you! If you don't know what you want and you don't know why you're doing it, then how can you expect to have any success?
As a man was driving down a major highway, he didn't obey the traffic laws. He caused many "near miss" accidents. He didn't know where he was going or why.
He would take many exits and found himself wandering. He was totally oblivious to the situation around him and to the vehicle he was driving. While trying to get back on the highway, he didn't obey the merge sign, collided with a tractor-trailer and was killed.
Do you know anyone who does business in this way? If you did business the way the man drove the car, how long would you last? How much damage would you cause to the business environment and to yourself?
