Is Your Page Formatting Easy to Follow?
The formatting of your sales letter is as important as your copy. Your formatting must be smooth, easy to follow, and must compliment your copy.
Here are some tips for keeping your formatting clean and easy to read:
- Keep enough white space between paragraphs.
- Use short sentences, and limit your paragraphs to 5 or 6 sentences.
- Use no more than two fonts in your letter.
- Use a serif font. This is an example of a serif font. A serif font has the little tips as opposed to a non serif Like this font you're reading now font at the end of the letters which are designed to keep the eyes moving across the text or page.
- Use underlining and bold sparingly, just enough to emphasize key points
- Use bullet points. If they read nothing else in your letter, most people will at least read the bullet points.
