Possible Solution - Is Your Advertising Message Clear?
Is Your Advertising Message Clear?
Your message must be clear to be effective. A clear message has several characteristics:
You must write in short sentences.
Try and keep your paragraphs 5-6 to six lines at most. Large paragraphs are hard to read.
You must write at 8th grade level. It doesn't matter how intelligent your readers are, no one likes to read copy, especially advertising copy, that is difficult to understand or requires a lot of "hard thinking" to process.
Keep your witting on topic. Once you start drifting off the topic, then your copy becomes unclear and hard to understand. Stay on topic and the reader will find it much easier to understand, and therefore make the purchase.
These are just a few key issues for keeping your message clear and on topic.
