When your writing a sales letter, write as if you were addressing one individual person. Try to imagine someone you know, and want to help with your product or service.
For example, this sentence addresses a group:
"Using this website will allow people to improve there business and increase their profits."
This sentence is more personal, and thus more effective:
"Using this website will allow YOU to improve YOUR business and increase YOUR revenues and profits!"
