With all the pressure, strain and hoopla of everyday living, a lot of people are trying to find ways to live a life free of stress.

A yoga instructor not just teaches yoga, meditation, breathing and visualization techniques. A yoga instructor also teaches people how to live balanced, healthy and stress-free lives. They are considered a source of inspiration for their students. They are known for their patient and motivating attitudes.

If you see yourself as a yoga instructor, you should work towards improving your motivational skills as you need to encourage your students to attain their desired goals as a yoga practitioner.

Yoga Instructor What You Need to Get Started as a Yoga Instructor

When deciding to be a yoga instructor, you first settle on what type of yoga you want to teach; there's Hatha yoga, Bikram yoga, Ashtanga yoga and the list goes on. Types of yoga vary because of their corresponding complexity of poses and physical strenuousness.

You can also choose to be either one of the two types of yoga instructors: one who teaches yoga as an exercise to lose unwanted pounds and tone the body, or one who teaches yoga as a form of therapy to control and combat diseases.

Before starting, it is important for you to train for at least some time with a certified yoga teacher and you can practice it without supervision. From there, you have to seek certification from appropriate entities. You also have to be certified in CPR, first aid and properly insured for public liability.

It is true that there are demands for yoga instructors in sports clubs, health clubs, leisure and community centers. But what if you could teach yoga in your own home? All you have to do is acquire the necessary business permits, licenses and have your house zoned for business.

Turn a room in your house to a studio. Install necessary fixtures and mirrors and you're good to go. Purchase extra yoga mats for emergency and have your walls painted a calming and soothing tone. Opt also to offer yoga sessions on weekends and evenings as most people work during mornings and weekdays. You can choose to teach a single type of yoga and take continuing classes on your free time to specialize in other types of yoga. This way, you can broaden your knowledge and services.

What more can you ask for? You not only achieve health and well-being through yoga, you also get to be your own boss. Think of stress-free existence.
