Dog behavior is perhaps even more diverse than the number of known dog breeds. You have to be very patient when training dogs since they blossom at different rates.

Skills Needed:
You need to be a dog lover and be very patient in dealing with them. Although not mandatory, it helps if you are a dog trainer who is certified by a recognized dog training association.

Experience Needed:
You have to have good knowledge in basic dog training, or you can attend seminars and classes that teach basic dog training such as house breaking, retrieving, behavioral modification and the like. There are also online dog training courses you can enroll in to help you in your endeavor.

Keep in mind that improper dog training can be dangerous to the dogs themselves, to yourself, and other people in your surroundings. As such, if you are not experienced or skilled in dog training, it's best you work with a licensed dog trainer first (e.g., seek employment with him/her).

Startup Requirements:
Depending on the scale of the business you want to start, you may need to factor in costs for veterinarians and an assistant or two. Your backyard must also be renovated to be conducive for training and additional equipment for training dogs must be purchased. There is plenty of equipment used in dog training so make sure that you purchase equipment that is relevant to the dog breeds you wish to train.
