Trillian version 3.1.6.0 supports skins and improved support for AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger and Internet Relay Chat (IRC). Audio chat, group chats, file transfers, chat rooms, multiple connections, are just some of the few characteristics of this latest version.
Trillian 3.1.6.0 Basic lets you do the following:
- Chat with anyone on AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger and IRC - all at the same time, with your individual identities for each connection.
- Run your webcam and view the webcams of your chat mates.
- Initiate and receive file transfers from any connection.
- Maintain contacts from different networks separately (no contact merging).
Trillian is adware-free and spyware-free. It provides one-of-a-kind functionalities like chat history, personalized skins, tabbed message windows, and network-wide status settings (e.g., be "away" from ALL your connections at once).
You can setup alerts for when a contact comes online, leaves or becomes idle. You can insert dozens of emoticons and sounds into your chat window too, and configure lots of system tray notifications.

You will need a system that runs on Microsoft Windows. The following versions are supported: 95, 98, 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, XP or Vista. You will also need 30MB disk drive space to download the Trillian installer and to run the installation program. It is recommended that you have at least 64MB of RAM. You will also need a connection to the Internet to be able to chat. You will need at least one account with any of the supported networks (AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger and IRC) to be able to use Trillian.
Setup is fairly flexible. You must setup one account and opt to configure additional accounts once you have Trillian up and running.
