3f Project 2006 has all the functionality you need to manage projects with great efficiency. Enter tasks, track staff and project times, manage issues and generate reports on time spent on a project using this handy web-based utility.
You must install this base module in order for the other optional modules to work. Once you're up and running you will have access to the following features.
1. Task List. Set up your tasks and prepare them for automatic time tracking. You can add as many tasks as you wish.
2. Gantt Diagram. Plan and schedule your projects graphically. Once you've created your schedule, you can export it to other formats such as Microsoft Excel, Word and the like. Load several projects simultaneously to link tasks between projects.
3. Resource Assignment. Once a task is assigned to a resource, a click on the My Assigned Tasks button in the My Workspace node shows him/her what his assignments are.
4. Time Entry. Submitting your timesheet is as easy as entering time spent on your tasks. Enter data then click submit.
5. Issue Management. Keep tabs on project issues, group, categorize and print them. Importing as and exporting to XML is enabled for seamless collaboration with anyone on the same system.
3f Project - Get Your Project Together
At the very heart of 3f Project 2006 is of course it's project management feature that enable you to handle your projects easily. Following is a quick rundown of what you can do using this freeware.
- Project Grouping. Setup unlimited project groups and subprojects. Get a clear overview of all your projects at one time.
- Time Report. How many hours have you spent on an active project? Find out at a glance; filter your view by different categories. Time reports also helps you keep track of your billable and non-billable hours.
- Project Overview Report. A snapshot of your project based on reported time spent.
- Project Console - a feature available only on 3f Project 2006. It allows your resource to estimate the time remaining on a task, which when collated becomes the total number of hours remaining for the task. The Project Manager can approve these estimates, after which they will be visible in the Project Overview Report.
- Setup New Project using Setup - Link - Manage. Build a version history for your project automatically.
- Template. Export your project in XML format and reuse it for succeeding projects. No need to enter the same tasks over and over as you start new projects.
- Export Reports. Export to XML, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word in RTF format.
- Print. Print your reports on any standard printer.
3f Project 2006 requires Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server, and at least Internet Explorer 5.5.
