The Amazing Formula is a good, information-packed reference for anyone who wants to make money working at home via Internet marketing. However, there are two drawbacks.
First, although it has been updated (this “revised and updated” e-book claims to contain new strategies and resources for 2006), The Amazing Formula has been around for seven years and some of its content can feel rather dated. For example, it mentions that banner advertising is very profitable. But very few websites today truly depend on banner advertising alone to turn a decent profit.
Second, the average work-at-home person will be hard pressed to replicate the success stories that author Marlon Sanders discusses in this e-book. Some of their methods could prove to be beyond the range of the average netpreneur, such as writing all your own sales letters.
Actually, that IS the great thing about The Amazing Formula, i.e., the portion on sales letters. Sanders is a sales letter-writing wizard and his sample letters give readers many helpful pointers that they can use for many years.
What Can the Amazing Formula Do?
- If you are engaged in an online business, this e-book promises to:
- get your business up and running
- get you more website traffic
- convert more casual browsers into buyers
- sell more of your product/service online and offline
Author Sanders is a successful direct marketer and he has mentored many successful work at home, online business entrepreneurs throughout the years. The testimonials in The Amazing Formula reflect that.
Many testify that, when they were starting their Internet marketing business, they patterned their systems, basic practices, and especially their sales letters after Sanders' recommendations in this e-book.
One businessman says that he turned a huge profit simply by following Sander's advice on making a “killer sales letter” by turning a competitor's USP (unique selling proposition) into a free bonus.
In fact, the most credible testimonials in this e-book have to do with sales letters. So, if that is your weakness, this book is definitely worth reading.
100 Pages of Testimonials Is Too Much!
The comments are generally reasonable and seem genuine, but 100 pages worth is way too much that you would begin to suspect otherwise. Although, given that it has been available for seven years(!), perhaps the enthusiastic, plentiful response is to be expected.
But then you have to wonder how truly applicable The Amazing Formula is today - despite its claims of being updated. You also have to wonder if some of the marketing methods in this e-book were used in generating good feedback for the book.
True enough, The Amazing Formula does have such a marketing promotion. A couple of weeks after you purchase it a follow-up e-mail offers you a free product if you send in a testimonial.
Two weeks is not sufficient to truly assess how effective the Internet marketing principles outline in the book are, so you have to question if, perhaps, some of the testimonials are not as genuine as they seem.
All things considered, The Amazing Formula is a worthy reference if only for the amazing sales letters it will help you write. And we all know how sales letters are important in an online business right? So go ahead, download the The Amazing Formula... NOW.
