How To Improve Conversions Rates
What good is getting many people coming to your website or walking into your store if you're not making any sales?
It's a waste of time and energy, and it brings your spirits down. The only good to come from this is that it displays a big red flag telling you that you're doing something wrong!
Unfortunately, it rarely happens that you have tons of traffic and you get zero sales. You probably get a trickle of sales, and then you ignore the red flag. Rather than improve your conversion rates, you wind up looking for more traffic.
It's better to look at the red flag, because you can always get more traffic but what's the use if your conversion rates are weak? Work on increasing your conversion rates and you'll end up with more sales. And then you can look for more targeted traffic.
Here are a few tips to help you increase your conversion rates:
Attract Only Targeted Prospects
It will do you no good to have thousands of people who have no interest in what you have to offer. It's much better to attract only interested people! Focus on quality, not quantity!
Think "Benefits"
Ask yourself questions like: What problems can I solve for my prospects? Why should people buy from me? What do I have to offer that others can't? How can my product better someone's lifestyle? Become a benefit detective. You have to look for the benefit in everything you do. When you start to uncover the benefits, display the best and most powerful ones in front of your prospects!
Think "Niche"
Focus on niche markets. The more focused you are, the more sales you'll make. If you have many products, divide them into departments and focus on the benefit of each product line.
Just like department stores, they are really a bunch of niches under one roof. They have a men's clothing department, a women's clothing department, children's clothing, etc.
Not everything is on one rack, where you find men's, women's, and children's clothing mixed. Each department is separate from the other, organized, and tightly focused, and there's usually someone in charge of that department.
Provide Solutions
Present your product as a solution to a problem. People buy solutions! The more you present your product as a solution, the more sense it makes in the consumer's mind and the easier it is to justify the purchase.
Test Your Results
Without testing, you won't be able to know what works best. You have to test and track your results. Sometimes you'll try a new approach, but without testing and recording your results.
With this approach, you won't be able to tell what works best. You won't know if you're going in the right direction or the wrong direction.
Test and record your results. Take action, then retest. Testing is a constant process.
Take Surveys
The only qualified people to tell you what's good or bad about your product or service are the people making the buying decisions. It's best to ask them and take their advice seriously.
It's the only advice that matters. These tips will help you drastically increase your conversion rates. Use them in your business today. Once you increase your conversion rates, then look for more targeted traffic and you'll see a huge difference in your business success!
That's the way I see it.
